These terms govern the use of our bioinformatics analysis platform. They apply to research institutes, medical facilities, and individual scientists who have genetic datasets processed through our services.
GenomLab provides a web-based platform for the processing and analysis of genetic sequence data. This includes quality control of raw data, variant annotation, classification according to clinical guidelines, as well as the visualization of analysis results. The platform does not replace medical diagnosis and does not provide treatment recommendations. Results are intended solely for scientific evaluation and must be validated by qualified professionals.
You are responsible for the legality of the data you upload. Ensure that you have the necessary consents before entering personal or genetic information into the platform. You undertake not to use the platform for purposes that violate applicable law, in particular the General Data Protection Regulation. Access credentials must be treated as confidential and must not be shared with third parties.
We strive to ensure high availability of the platform, but cannot guarantee uninterrupted accessibility. Maintenance work, technical disruptions, or external influences may cause interruptions. Liability for damages arising from the use or non-use of the platform is limited to intent and gross negligence. We do not assume any responsibility for the accuracy of the analysis results, as these depend on the quality of the submitted data.
All submitted datasets are used exclusively for contract processing within the scope of the selected analysis service. Data is only shared with third parties insofar as this is necessary for the provision of the service or required by legal provisions. After the completion of the analysis order, you may request the deletion of your data. We point out that complete anonymization of genetic data is not always technically possible and recommend pseudonymization before upload.
We reserve the right to adjust these terms of use if legal framework conditions or the scope of functions of the platform change. We will notify you of significant changes by email to the address you have provided. Continued use of the platform after the changes take effect constitutes acceptance. If you do not agree with the new terms, you may terminate your access within four weeks.
You may terminate your registration at any time by contacting us in writing at info@homology-ks.com. We may block your access if you violate these terms or if there is suspicion of misuse. After termination, your data will be deleted in accordance with statutory retention periods or transferred to you upon request. For questions regarding these terms, you can reach us at the stated email address or by phone at 0650 2802539.
